Buttermilk Pancakes

  • 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon or ¼ tsp of Nutmeg
  • 1 ½  tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 5 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Unsalted Butter
  • 2 ½ Cups Buttermilk


  • In a large bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients together and set aside
  • In a small bowl, whisk the buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract in and add it to the dry ingredients slowly
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the large bowl with the dry ingredients and mix the batter together completely, making sure to remove any lumps
  • Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and brush with butter or oil, or spray with non-stick cooking spray
  • Scoop ¼ cup of batter onto the griddle and fry on both sides until golden brown
  • Garnish the pancakes with strawberries and powdered sugar
  • Serve with butter, drizzle with syrup, and enjoy!
